As a transgender woman and scholar, Bethany Grace is conducting what she hopes will be pioneering research into the effects of often negative and aggressive media on transgender identity. As a teacher, however, she hopes that the next generation of media communicators can be taught to develop their digital storytelling skills in a way that eventually eliminates negative and aggressive messages towards diverse people of all types.
